A new form of social media called Vibe has emerged and is being used primarily by the Wall Street Protesters that have been all over the news recently. NYTimes.com posted an article http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/10/12/anonymous-messaging-app-vibe-gets-boost-from-occupy-wall-street/?ref=socialmedia discussing the popularity of such a small media outlet.
According to the article, Vibe is an outlet similar to Twitter but does not require a username or account.
For me, it seems like social media outlets are becoming more and more specialized to a specific movement/action/group and their needs or desires.
That is pretty interesting. I will have to check it out
ReplyDeleteI have recently visited this site for research for another class. I thought it was very intresting and gave insight to what the protestors were there for and what they believed in.
